December Newsletter
Newsletter – December 2011
What we did in November
We have had a very colourful time during November. Particular highlights were:
- Making chalk firework pictures
- 3d sparkly firework models
- Painting in the garden
- Making giant poppies and all things red for remembrance day
- Introducing new nursery rhyme bags
- Starting Christmas early making a giant advent calendar
December’s Activities
In December we are going all out Christmas fun! We will be making cards, presents, crackers, food, decorations. We will be trying to sing some Christmas Songs and reading the Christmas story. I also plan on writing letters to Father Christmas early on so it would be helpful if you could let me know what he is likely to be bringing this year so I can make sure it goes in the letter.
December Special Days
3rd – Child protection course – to update my knowledge
5th – Childminder playgroup
7th – Daisy’s birthday
21st – Hanukkah
22nd & 23rd – Christmas Dinner / Party
25th - Christmas Day
26th – Boxing Day
27th – Bank Holiday
London Marathon
I think I have probably told most of you this already but I am running the London Marathon next year. This will be my first (and probably last!) marathon I ever run but I’m doing it to raise money for the Epilepsy Society. They have been a brilliant source of support for Dave’s family during the problems his nephew Sam has had with his diagnosis of a severe form of epilepsy at only 4months old. The training has started so if you see me wandering round Barlow in a bright yellow running top you know why! I have a justgiving page at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if anyone would like to sponsor me.
